2. Scope of warranty

If, exceptionally, a defect should occur during the warranty period, Ecovacs Robotics UK Ltd will, as far as the customer asserts their claim under the manufacturer's warranty, at its own discretion:

  • Repair the device.
  • Replace the device and replace it with another product that is new or has been made from new or still usable parts that have already been used and functionally at least corresponds to the original product, or
  • Replace the device with another product that is new and an upgraded model that has at least equivalent or upgraded features compared to the original product.
If a warranty claim exists and Ecovacs Robotics UK Ltd carries out repairs or replacements, this does not lead to an extension or a new start of the warranty. The warranty period therefore always ends, regardless of any warranty cases, at the end of the 2 years, calculated from the date of the first purchase. All replaced old equipment and parts becomes the property of Ecovacs Robotics UK Ltd. Further claims under the warranty contract are excluded. The exclusion does not apply in the event of injury to life, limb and health, in the case of intent and gross negligence, product liability and in the event of a breach of essential obligations that jeopardize the achievement of the purpose of the guarantee. Likewise, the statutory warranty rights remain unaffected by this exclusion.
To file a claim for the warranty, you must:
  • (1) report any defects that occur to the ECOVACS service hotline immediately as soon as they become apparent, and
  • (2) Present the original invoice or the cash receipt of the specialist reseller (stating the date of purchase, the unit name and the name of the specialist reseller).

  • Fall damage because of non-use of the safety system (suction cup and safety rope).
  • The modification, removal or other obscuration or illegibility of the type of designation or serial number on the units.
  • Damage caused by accidents or external influences (lightning, fire, water) or other force majeure events.
  • The fact that the battery was short-circuited if the seal of the battery housing or the cells were damaged by the customer.
