How ECOVACS Ensures Trustworthy and Useful Reviews
 
At ECOVACS, we believe that trustworthy reviews are essential for a transparent shopping experience. Whether you're reading reviews or writing your own, we want every voice to be authentic and helpful.

 Who Can Submit Reviews?
To encourage open and meaningful feedback, we accept reviews from:
  • General website visitors: Who may share general opinions or experiences but their reviews will not be labeled as verified buyer;
  • Verified Buyer: Customers who have completed a purchase through our official web shop; and
  • ECOVACS HOME APP Users: Who have used our products by connecting them via the app, regardless of where the purchase was made.
We welcome real experiences from different channels, while clearly indicating the source of the review.

Buyer Verification Tags
To help customers easily distinguish reviews:
  • Reviews from customers who purchased directly from our web shop will be labeled with a “Verified Buyer” badge.
  • Reviews submitted by users who connected our products to the ECOVACS HOME APP but purchased through third-party channels will be marked as “Verified User via ECOVACS HOME APP”
These tags help clarify the reviewer’s relationship with the product while preserving transparency.

 


What’s Not Allowed

The following types of content are strictly prohibited. Submissions containing any of the below may be removed, and users may be restricted from posting further reviews:

1. Seller, Order, or Shipping Feedback

Reviews must focus on the product itself—not your shopping experience. Please don’t include:
  • Comments about the seller’s customer service
  • Order or return issues
  • Shipping speed or cost
  • Packaging or product condition upon delivery
For seller- or logistics-related issues, contact our support team directly instead.

2. Pricing & Availability Comparisons

  • Allowed: “This vacuum offers great value for $1099.”
  • Not allowed: “This was $20 cheaper at another store.”
  • Not allowed: “I found this sold out everywhere else!”
Comments like this aren’t allowed because they aren’t relevant for all customers.

3. Unsupported Languages or Mixed Languages

We only allow content in supported site languages. Avoid writing in unsupported or mixed languages.

4. Spam & Disruptive Content

We do not allow:
  • Repetitive text or nonsensical comments
  • ASCII art or text graphics
  • Symbol-only comments
  • Irrelevant or unrelated material

5. Private Information

Do not include:
  • Personal data (email, phone, addresses, license plates, order numbers)
  • Information that could compromise others’ privacy

6. Sexual, Harassment, Profanity & Hate Speech

Reviews must remain respectful. We do not tolerate:
  • Obscene language
  • Threats, bullying, or personal attacks
  • Hate speech targeting race, gender, religion, orientation, disability, etc.
  • Profanity or obscenities
  • Graphic nudity or explicit images/descriptions

8. External Links & Ads

We prohibit:
  • Links to third-party sites
  • Referral, affiliate, or tracking URLs
  • Promotional content or advertisements

9. Conflicts of Interest & Promotional Reviews

You may not review a product if:
  • You are the seller, brand representative, or manufacturer
  • You have a financial or close personal connection to the product
If you post content while having a relevant connection, you must clearly disclose it (e.g., "I work for the brand behind this product").

10. Compensated or Manipulated Reviews

We do not allow reviews written or changed in exchange for:
  • Free products
  • Refunds

11. Plagiarism or Copyright Infringement

Only post your own content or content you’re authorized to share. Do not:
  • Copy from other websites
  • Impersonate others
  • Infringe on others’ intellectual property

12. Illegal or Dangerous Activities

Absolutely prohibited:
  • Threats of violence or self-harm
  • Promotion of illegal products or behavior
  • Encouraging dangerous misuse of products

 Consequences for Violations

Violating these guidelines can result in:
  • Removal of your review
  • Suspension of review privileges
  • Termination of your ECOVACS account
  • Legal consequences in cases of fraud, infringement, or illegal activity

 Review Moderation & Integrity
To maintain fairness and prevent manipulation, we apply automated and manual checks to detect and remove spam, fake reviews, or abusive language.

 Combating Fake or Manipulated Reviews
ECOVACS takes review authenticity seriously. We monitor for suspicious patterns, block coordinated fake review activity, and investigate any attempts to influence ratings unfairly.
If you notice a suspicious review or are offered any benefit in exchange for altering your feedback, report it immediately to service-uk@ecovacs.com.
