Multiple routers and Mesh network Troubleshooting

1.   If you have more than one routers (with different SSID names & passwords) at home,, you have to make the robot connection to each Wi-Fi router one by one; only after that, can the robot move from one area to another area through Wi-Fi network roaming., Do be aware there’ll be a very short offline period during the roaming process)

2.   If you have a Mesh structure (Wi-Fi router extenders), please turn off the extenders and make the connection directly with the Wi-Fi router. After the connection process is  successfully completed, you can turn back on the extenders, and then your robot can move to the areas which has network signal covered by the extenders.

3.   If your home network is a cascaded network (the Hub LAN port or Switch links to router’s WAN port), if network SSID name & password are the same as the Hub, and your smart phone can only find one network SSID name, you may make Robot connection through any one of the routers (if you have more than one routers). The Robot can work in the routers’ coverage area. Do note there will be a short offline period during the roaming.

4.   If the multiple routers are connected by sequential cascading (the uplink’s LAN port connects to downlink’s WAN port), or by wireless bridging, and all routers have different network SSID names and passwords, this situation is much like the scenario 1, i.e., you should make the connection to all the routers, ensuring the robot can work in the coverage area with minimum offline time.  If all the routers have the same network SSID names and passwords, and your smart phone can only find one network SSID name, you just only need to make the connection with one of the routers, and the robot can connect to all other routers during the roaming. Do note there will be a short offline period during the roaming.
