Glass Scratches: Policy and Troubleshooting

From the initial R&D stage, glass protection has been a top priority for WINBOT. We adopt soft rubber drive wheels, flexible plastic ball joints and soft microfiber cleaning pads. All components touching the glass have lower hardness than glass. Metal parts with higher hardness never come into contact with the glass surface. These strictly selected materials prevent scratches and protect glass gently during cleaning. The product has passed professional scratch resistance tests, and relevant inspection reports are available upon request.

We understand your concern. Possible causes for suspected scratches are listed below:
1. Original glass marks: Scratches may form during glass transportation, installation and daily cleaning. You may check other uncleaned glass panes for similar marks.
2. Sand and particle impact: Wind-blown fine grains may hit the glass and leave tiny scratches. Such marks are hidden by dust and become visible after cleaning.
3. Adhesive residue: Tiny adhesive substances may remain on newly installed glass. Traces left by robot operation can be mistaken for scratches.

If you still have doubts, please follow the steps below for further troubleshooting:
① Test on another window: Choose an untouched glass pane free of scratches, particles and defects.
② Replace cleaning pad: Use a brand new or thoroughly cleaned pad, and remove any grit or sharp debris on it.
③ Full cleaning: Wipe drive wheels and ball joints completely to eliminate residual contaminants.
④ Record operation video: Run the cleaned Winbot on the inspected window.
